We are delighted to announce the first edition of the Breizh Microbiology Meeting (BMM 2026) — a one-day event bringing together microbiologists for scientific exchange, discussion, and new collaborations.

Frédéric Barras (Institut Pasteur, Paris) - Evolution and mechanism of Fe-S biogenesis machineries in procaryotes
Géraldine Laloux (de Duve Institute, Belgium) - Organising a bacterial cell for predation
Imane El Meouche (IAME Research Center, Paris) - Antibiotic tolerance in E. coli in vitro and in vivo UTI models
François Rousset (CIRI, Lyon) - What phage-bacteria interactions teach us about innate immunity
Aravindan Ilangovan (University of London, UK) - Initiation of horizontal gene transfer during bacterial conjugation
Participation is free of charge, but registration is mandatory. Coffee breaks and lunch will be provided to all registered participants.
PhD students and postdoctoral researchers are invited to submit an abstract (maximum 250 words) to present their work either as a poster or as a short oral communication (10-minute presentation followed by 5 minutes of discussion).
